Man Hit by Car While Jogging

A 51-year-old Arvada man was struck by a van while jogging Tuesday morning. According to the Denver Post, the incident happened at about 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of West 59th Avenue and Olde Wadsworth Boulevard. The man was jogging with his dog when he was struck by the van and pinned beneath its wheels. The man was transported to a local hospital with injuries but is expected to survive. The driver of the van was cited for obstructed views and careless driving resulting in injury. The victim’s dog was not injured in the accident.
