
According to The Coloradoan, a woman was killed and a passenger was severely injured during a devastating off road accident in Fort Collins. The accident occurred near Horsetooth Reservoir off of Larimer County Road and Shoreline Drive. The police have reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle and drove off road and became airborne while tumbling down an embankment before finally crashing into some rocks. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene and her passenger was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Neither victim was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. A boxer puppy survived the crash, however and was claimed by family members soon after the accident. The incident is still under investigation by the police but speeding and alcohol are being considered in the case.
