Two Car Denver Accident

According to 9 News, a multi-car collision ended in tragedy when a vehicle failed to stop at a red light. The fatal accident occurred at southbound Tower Road and East 35th Ave and involved four vehicles. A woman driving a Dodge Intrepid ran a red light and collided with a pick up truck carrying three teenagers. This caused the truck to roll into northbound lanes of Tower Road near Salida Street and finally stopped on top of a SUV. The driver of the Intrepid continued to drive into a Toyota Matrix before fleeing the scene. The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene and the two other teenage passengers were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The drivers of the SUV and Matrix were uninjured in the accident. Police were able to locate and arrest the driver of the Intrepid not long after the incident occurred. Police are still investigating but believe that she was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash. She is being charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
