Drinking and driving can leave catastrophic damages for yourself and others. According to CBS News, a suspected drunk driver ran a red light and then took off after crashing into another vehicle. The devastating collision occurred early Friday morning in Westminster at the intersection of 118th Place and Sheridan Boulevard. A SUV ran a red light before smashing into a Toyota Corolla and then fled the scene. The driver of the Toyota was ejected from the vehicle as a result of the force from the collision, it is yet unclear if she was wearing a seat belt at the time. Both the driver and a passenger of the SUV fled in different directions. Broomfield police found the passenger of the vehicle in the suspected vehicle and a Westminster K-9 unit found the driver of the vehicle soon after the accident. Alcohol and speeding are believed to be factors involved in the accident.
