A driver who ran a red light at Tower Rd and Iliff Ave hit a police officer, according to 9News. Witnesses have said that the officer was making a left turn onto Iliff on a green arrow, when the man traveling the opposite direction on Tower ran the red light, hitting the front of the patrol car. The near-head-on collision left both the officer and the other driver injured, but able to get out of their cars and walk around. Both were transported to the hospital.
