DUI Suspect Crashes into Several Homes in Colorado Springs

A 40-year-old man, suspected of driving under the influence, missed a turn around the 4600 block of El Camino in Colorado Springs and “slammed into several houses” early this morning. The Denver Post reports that the man then became aggressive with the owner of the backyard he ended up in. The homeowner “fired a shot from his handgun into the air” and told the driver to wait for police in his car. The driver fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later. No one but the driver was injured in the accident.
